"Endoscopy Treatment Unit - first class service..."

I recently visited the Endoscopy Treatment Unit for extensive tests. I had to ring prior to my appointment for advice on taking my regular medication etc and the staff who answered the phone was so lovely, kind and very helpful clarifying all I needed to know. From checking in at reception on the day of my tests right through the process to discharge I cannot praise the lovely staff enough. They were all very friendly, professional and kind and could not do enough to help. I have mobility issues and they very kindly carried my bags etc and took great care of me. The consultant who did my tests was very kind and comforting, reassuringly talking me through all my tests which helped me feel more relaxed, I cannot thank him enough. He and the nurses took time to fully explain the options of sedation, I felt fully informed and was able to ask lots of questions. All the nursing staff were first class, so kind, cheerful and helpful. The Unit was very busy that day but I did not at any time feel rushed in fact quite the opposite everyone was very relaxed, friendly and patient. I cannot praise this department and all the staff who work there enough they all do a fantastic job, God bless you all!
