"Lack of interest in maternity"

About: Warrington Hospital

had my child in January at Warrington. i am still unhappy about that lack of interest i received when i went. from the moment i arrived they were trying to get me out of the door and back home. Apparently I appeared too calm for someone in labour. My concern is that they are too keen to send women home without proper checks. Luckily my son was born without problems as my labour was straight forward. Considering i was sent home for an hour before i went straight back, i consider myself lucky after hearing some recent stories. I would think twice about having another baby there.

Thank you for your feedback. We can assure you that the team carry out all the checks with women who come to the unit and are sorry if you didn't feel this was the case. We're pleased to hear that your labour went well. Our supervisors of midwives hold regular feedback sessions and if you wanted to contact them with your feedback we'd be delighted to hear from you. You can email us via communications@whh.nhs.uk and we can pass on your details and put you in touch as it's important that we learn from all feedback that we receive.
