"Excellent maternity care "

I would like to compliment the midwifery staff and others in the maternity unit at Raigmore Hospital for the high level of care I received last month. I can happily say that every single member of staff I encountered was a credit to the hospital. Everything I experienced was good, including the surgery as well as catering, cleanliness and the way staff explained what was happening and how they looked after me. I truly want to give thanks to the whole team.

I feel that as I had such a positive experience I should give this feedback and in some way congratulate the team for their commitment and diligence.

I feel a really personal approach was being adopted and I felt I was given a genuine welcome with great support with the birth of my healthy baby. The whole experience was outstanding. All aspects were of a high standard and I want to thank everyone for their work and excellent levels of care.

I am impressed that throughout my experience I received such high levels of care including the information and approaches taken for preparing the planned c-section, the operation and post birth care. The surgery was extremely well executed and I am recovering well. I am delighted that my wound has healed and I feel so well after less than 5 weeks. The standard of the care in the high dependency ward was exceptional.

I felt that in particular one midwife by the name of Carry was particularly dedicated and was so caring when I was in the initial hours after birth. The effort made by all the staff to provide a warm, kind and human service was notable, despite the multiple pressures placed upon them with such work.
