"nothing"

About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

nothing

What could be improved

The only improvement possible for Lime Ward would be to completely close it. Gastric Ward and Geriatric do not mix. The person I visited was 32 and had to share a bay with 80 year olds who were ready to die. Winter Vomiting Flu breakout 4 times in a 2 week period even after a 'deep clean'. Not good for the patients or staff morale. CLOSE IT

Anything else?

Get doctors doing their rounds with the nurses again. Perhaps the communication and care might then tally. Currently one saying one thing and the other doing what they think is needed. Again TALK TO THE PATIENTS do not assume!

Lime Ward is to be relocated to updated facilities at the front of the hospital during January 2009.
