"Without support of Mental health Services"

I was in mental health services for 12 months with North Staffs Combined Trust until recently but decided that I had no choice but to get myself discharged.. My care for the first 5 months was very good & the member of staff concerned was very caring & was able to build up my trust over the months.

Unfortunately after my transfer to a Resource Centre I encountered very different care & it was a constant battle to get the support & care because of the constraints of mental health services. My care plan was not followed & it was very difficult because the staff did not always have the time to give to me as a service user.

Eventually it became very stressful & damaging to the point that I was self harming because my relationship with the care team had broken down. The constant battle I had to get my point across had a massive impact on me & the constant cuts in services only made matters worse.

I am now without support & feel that the trust have failed me.
