I had my second child by elective caesarean at AGH in Feb this year. My first delivery (at a different hospital) was very traumatic, and I had an awful experience. As such I was nervous going into this pregnancy. From the outset, this was a completely different experience. Everyone was so reassuring, and I was so well monitored and looked after. Everyone from the community midwives through to the consultant, anaesthetists, and the midwives on Ward 21 was so caring, considerate and looked after us so well. I had such a lovely, positive experience this time round, and it put to bed a lot of the bad memories of my delivery first time round. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved as we had a really happy experience and will hopefully be back one day for number 3!
