I saw my consultant on the 23rd December 2013 and had a full left hip replacement on the 20th February 2014, a time scale I felt was outstanding. My journey through the process provided me with relevant information, whilst giving me complete confidence in the safety of my major operation. From arrival into the admission unit to discharge from Ward 28 wa s seamless and hassle free, whilst each of the health care professionals I encountered covered themselves in glory and I cannot sing their praises enough!! The team in the anaesthetic room provided professionalism along with appropriate humour which suited my personality entirely. My consultant and his team deserve a medal for the job they carried out, I have never been so happy with an outcome of a life event. The team on Ward 28 were exceptional, providing an exceptional balance of humour, care and professionalism as appropriate and the stand out person for me was the auxiliary nurse who made my stay a pleasure rather than a chore!! Finally the food provided on a daily basis was much better than I expected and I must say the quality and taste was rather surprising! Thanks to all at the BRI for providing a 5* service!! Kind regards Al
