"unfairly treated"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

Me and my baby arrived at the hospital by ambulance at 00:25 and wasn't seen till gone 02:30 where then we was moved to our cubical which was dusty and had someone else medical equipment on the floor. My child was left without a bed and had to be placed on the floor due to being asleep I only got a bed due to demanding one. We then waited till 5:30 when she got discharged I asked the doctor if we could wait here until a friend could pick us up but we was denined and was told they needed the space so me and my younge baby had to go sit in the waiting room on a hard chair where now I have damaged my back

An Assistant Director of Nursing has investigated any overnight delays in ED during the last week. Please be reassured that any concerns identified will be raised with the respective Senior Managers. They will then be expected to take actions to prevent any reccurrence.

Kind regards

Tracy
