What I liked
My Mum who is in the hospital says she is being well cared for which I appreciate as I cannot get there to see her.
What could be improved
Get the right patient. I left 7 messages and they went to the wrong person with same name - despite my giving a full name. I was given a bedside telephone number which I tried to ring several times at extortionate cost - see later comments - only to find out that my mother did not even (at that time) have a bedside telephone.
Anything else?
My mother now has a bedside phone and each time I ring I have to sit through the laboriously long message which tells me how expensive the call is!!! I was shocked to learn that it is 50p per minute - I have no means of getting a card which is half price at the bargain price of 25p a minute. I then have to wait ages for the call to be picked up which it often is not. When I do speak to my mother the quality is so poor I can hardly hear her. This (like the parking so often complained about) is another rip off to make money out of people in times of need of distress - but thats the UK for you.
