"Paramedics were understanding and gentle"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

In March, my uncle fell out of bed, and my husband got him up and sitting in a chair, but we were really worried about him. So we called for an ambulance, which came quickly.

They checked him over, but didn’t need to take him to the hospital. They were so nice and kind. He has Parkinsons, and they were understanding and gentle with him. They really helped us all so much.

They dealt with everything quickly and efficiently (but still kindly). I can’t remember their names, but their call sign was 6306. Please thank them for us.

Hi Node505

Thank you for taking the time to share your story - I hope your uncle is feeling better since his fall.

It is always rewarding to hear how our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to patients when they need it most. We can pass on your kind comments to the staff involved in your uncle's care, however we need a little more detail to do this. Please may I ask you to contact me, at your convenience, on either sara.coburn@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 261 552.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Sara
