"Paramedics were so kind and helpful and reassuring"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

The ambulance came for my husband. He’d had a fall, as he has a walker, but he’s a big man and I couldn’t get him up on my own. He has one of those emergency buttons, which we pushed, and a lovely young man came immediately to help. He had to get another car along, to get help lifting my husband. Then they checked him over, and made sure he was ok.

They were so kind and helpful and reassuring – at such a worrying time. They made us all feel so much better. My husband was a bit shaken, and their care really helped.

The nice ambulance man was a Lancastrian, who might have been called Dave. He was from Ivy Bridge. We can’t thank him enough.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your story - I hope your husband is feeling better after his fall.

It is always very rewarding to hear how are staff are continuing to provide excellent care. We would like to make sure that the staff involved in your husband's care are aware of your kind comments. In order to identify them we will need a little more detail about the event. Please may I ask you to contact me, at your convenience, on either sara.coburn@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 261 552 and we can discuss it further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Sara
