"My 20yrs old son had radiotherapy, ..."

About: The Christie

(as a relative),

What I liked

My 20yrs old son had radiotherapy, every day for 3 weeks, at the hospital.Whilst there, he was also seen on the Young Oncology Unit daily. The experience for both of us was a totally positive one.Everyone we came into contact with, in both units, was friendly, helpful and professional.Throughout the hospital we also had the same experiences from the ladies on the voluntary run tea bar, restaurant and reception. Parking was no problem. There was a carpark just for patients who were having radiotherapy, and this was free, using a code given to you in the department. We never had to wait long to be seen, in fact most days my son was seen right on time. We were impressed with the cleanliness of all the areas we visited in the hospital, including the toilets. I would wholeheartedly recommend the hospital to any one and would also say to anyone who has to attend the hospital for treatment to not worry at all because they will be so well looked after.

What could be improved

From our experience I could not think of any area which could be improved.

Anything else?

The staff, from volunteers to consultants, do a wonderful job at this hospital and do their very best to try and make your visits stress free and comfortable.
