"I was made an opointment at the ..."

What I liked I was made an opointment at the hospital to be seen by a doctor at 11.30pm by NHS Direct. Having walked down there in a lot of pain we had to wait out side as the doctor was out on call. It was freezing cold and i was in so much pain. We waited outside for about half an hour for the doctor to come back before working home again, What could be improved? The opointment should have been honoured. There should be enough staff to handle call outs and minur injury/emergencies. There should be adaquate staff there and security so people who are in distress or are unwell can wait in side. Anything else? A 24 hour hospital is esential. It isnt an option for everyone to get to Chesterfield to be seen.
