"Total hip replacement 1st April 2014"

I unfortunately had to have a total hip replacement on the 1st of April 2014. My surgery was carried out by a consultant at Hayle Hospital. Although I had previously experienced resurfacing surgery at the same hospital I was still very apprehensive prior to my operation. I was sitting around from 0700hrs until 1445hrs awaiting the call to the theatre. However apart from the waiting my experience thereafter was totally positive. The Porter who took me to the theatre succeeded in putting me at ease and following my operation the care that I received from all the staff was nothing short of excellent. My perception of the staff was that they truly cared and their number one priority was the patient and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend the hospital to everyone.
