"Waiting 5 months!"

About: Leicester General Hospital

It's now been 5 months since my I saw my gynecological consultant he made me feel very confident about having major surgery again , I've been admitted twice in so much pain & still no date! It's very unfair that they can leave me for so long & in so much pain I feel it's cruel this has been going on for years now & in October when I saw the consultant I thought it would be all over very soon , I was very wrong . 6 years ago I was in the general I had a cancerous tumer removed right partial nafrectomy from my kidney & I've also been in several times with kidney stones the care & service from urology was brilliant , but I'm very disappointed with gynecology the consultant was lovely & so was the anesthetist who I also had an appointment with as I'm extremely difficult to canulate . I was also informed that my consultant is to busy to do my opp so has passed me on to anyone else ! This doesn't fill me with confidence. From a very worried & fed up patient

Response from Leicester General Hospital

Dear Mrs Clayton We are very, very sorry to read your comments. Your frustration and anxiety is completely understandable. It seems that your experience of our consultants has been positive, which is great, but sadly you have had wait for your operation, which we fully appreciate must be disheartening. In order to resolve this matter, we would encourage you to contact Donata Marshall, service manager, by email donata.marshall@uhl-tr.nhs.uk as she would be able to look into this further. Once again, we are very sorry for your experience. Sincerely, Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
