"Hospital feedback"

About: Tiverton and District Hospital

As was my nurse, she was lovely, and even I had an 2hr wait (when v tired and already v nervous, hungry and thirsty) the procedure went brilliantly - didn't feel a thing, and I'd been dreading it! The wait was unavoidable due to the inclement weather, and i'm just grateful the surgeon got through the worst of it to perform the procedure that day........I wouldn't have liked to re-book, for my friend who drove me to tiverton is a v busy lady, as am i, also i'd left 6 workmen no doubt up to no good @ my home renovating, after being flooded on new year's day (happy 2014!). Only 2 downsides - just as I was allowed to wait in a cool room by my lovely nurse, I was unceremoniously booted out by a v rude , presumably snr? nurse, who should know better........Especially to an anxious patient, so I'm afraid I gave as good as I got!! Try as I might I couldn't get a glimpse of her tag or I would have made a formal complaint about her. To me nursing = compassion, and she had a sad lack of that indeed. Also, my friend who kindly drove me from exeter had to wait, and I was very aware that her school needed her attention........ As an insulin dependant diabetic, I would have thought I should have been seen 1st.........The thirst and hunger (and temperament) having worked 18+ hrs for teach he past 36 days, knows no bounds! Having suffered a flood @ home I was very crotchety indeed, for which I, if not the snr nurse, apologise. So, to my surgeon and my super nurse, very many thank you's!
