"excellent care for teenage daycase - dental"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

my daughter was a daycase patient for dental procedure which required a general anaesthetic. She was calm I was terrified my experience of general anaesthetic being less than positive. But I found all the staff from the paediatric nurses and play specialist in Mulberry Ward, the doctor and anaesthetist who spoke with us before surgery, the anaestheic nurse and the surgeon to be so calming and helpful. Everything was explained clearly so we both knew what to expect. I am extremely happy with the care given to my daughter and the consideration shown to the anxious parent was second to none - nothing was too much trouble. Only issue - the signage in the ward areas is rather poor bit difficult to find the toilet!

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased that you are happy with your daughter's care and the attention paid to you. I will make sure that the Department receives your positive comments, and that your comments about signage are relayed to the relevant team.
