"Falling Standards"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

The hospital is falling apart. The staff are frustrated.Surgery was carried out in a modular theatre that resembles a pre 1920 hospital (ship like container). There was no bed from 1200 midday and only got a bed at 2000hrs.The hospital is generally filthy and unwelcome in every respect. There needs to be a change of the management style. I was operated on ,not to what i was told by the consultant, that it was a 7mm incision on the navel only to come out with five 4 cm cuts. The name on the bed placard and the notes were not even mine. Thank God I was not amputated.I was sent to the infamous ward 22.The staff are hostile and need not to be working there. L&D is a caricature of a hospital, you will find better care in a developing country than is exhibited at this hospital.
