My father of 95 was admitted into KG and since then his care has been disgraceful. The sign of a Butterfly was placed over his bed which indicates the person is suffering from Dementia. He has the mental capacity to make his own decision and alert and can answer his own questions. What would have happen if I did not recognised the medical signs for Dementia? How would he have been treated? Caught MRSA since being on the ward, transferred to another ward without an explanation of why or family informed. Nurses not responding to buzzer and leaving him alone in a room with the door closed not interaction. Fall from the bed after nurses ignored his call, as he wanted to use the toilet. No examined by a doctor until 4 hours later only at families request. Then no x-ray of hip, family told it had happen 13 hours later by staff nurse. When family asked the result inform “No he still has not had the x-ray yet” a total of 25 hours later still not x-ray. Where is care in this hospital? Nurses complaining when asked if he could be placed into bed for the night. They stated he was asked earlier and had refused. Where is patient choice? Not checking whether infection have cleared
