"Appt for nerve root block in Radiology"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Arrived at the department to a quick check in (9am appt so that probably helped)...within minutes a nurse appeared and took myself and partner to another waiting area. Within minutes I was getting changed and taken into the x-ray room. Very efficient staff who were busy prepping everything prior to arrival of the doctor. Even sorted things out when it was noted that a relevant allergy was not on my notes. Very pleasant staff who explained everything, were chatty and updated me as to where the doctor was. Doctor appears...pleasant enough and efficient. A little 'cold' and lacking in bedside manner but I cannot fault her during the procedure when she informed me exactly what she was doing as she went along. Other staff in room also kept me informed. All over and wheeled outside on bed so they could monitor me after. Cannot fault the staff who looked after me then, made me tea etc. I couldn't leave until the doctor had a final word with me....I spotted her walking past the corridor I was at the end of...she spots me and then turns back to come and see me - lucky otherwise she would have been gone! All in all....not an unpleasant experience and I was well looked after.
