"Inconsistent does not cover it!"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

This hospital is so inconsistent it makes it even more of a disappointment for me. Sometimes the staff are fantastic but most of the time they are rude, unhelpful and have no respect for anyone. The main issue with this hospital though is before you even walk through the main entrance. This is because despite it supposedly being a "no smoking anywhere on these premises" hospital.. you have to walk through a huge cloud of smoke to get into the building. It's disgusting. If you can't get people to stop smoking on the premises have a designated smoking area and use your security for something more useful than sitting on their bums in an office! People go in and out of that hospital already ill or pregnant or just a non smoker and are forced to breathe in the toxic fumes. Stop complaining about how much money smoking is costing the NHS when it is NHS staff creating the work for themselves by allowing this to happen.

Thank you for your feedback about people who smoke outside of our hospital at WHH. We have escalated this to our security staff who try their best to help us to address the issue. This is an increasing problem and members of the public are often very resistant to changing their behaviour despite the constant encouragement to do so. We do agree with your concerns and will continue to try to address the problem.
