About: Darent Valley Hospital

The antenatal, postnatal and birthing suite staff were fantastic. They were professional, informative and treated me like a person and not a number. During labour there was someone with me at all times and they kept me updated on how the process was going. Hygiene was great and after care was also very good. As first time parents we had many questions and concerns and the nurses kindly and patiently answered them all. I was shown how to hand express and breast feed my son and was not discharged until both the nurse and I were happy with how to do this. The community nurse was with me throughout pregnancy and the early days after giving birth and so gave me continuity and a friendly face to talk to. I could not have asked for more.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a fantastic review regarding all of your care whilst pregnant and postnatally. All feedback is very important to us and hearing that we got is so right is always reassuring. We have forwarded your super comments onto the maternity department and wish you all the best at what must be an extremely busy time. With best wishes The Communication Team Darent Valley Hospital
