I recently had my baby at Newham, and I was very pleased with the service. I was high risk patient as I have crowns disease. Throughout my pregnancy I was cared by a particular doctor and had regular appointments with him. He was very good and cared for me very well. When I went into labour I had complications and the midwife who looked after me was very good, the doctor himself came to see me and knew exactly who I was and what problems I had and how best to help me. I as in labour ward for over 30 hours and the midwives were very helpful and clear and stayed with me the whole time. After delivery I had a good experience at larch award. I was very happy with the service at newham and would recommend it to anyone. I must say the maternity unit has improved vastly since I had my last son in 2007. As a crowns patient I am seen every three months by a consultant at newham he too is very good and precise and gives very good care.
