Last weekend my son had both his bones broken in his leg playing football. The paramedics and ambulance service was out standing. They couldn't do more not only for my son but for myself. Then came the a&e wow. We had the same nurse with us from arriving he took us to exray twice and onto the ward. Nothing wasn't explained and everything was done to keep him comfortable. The male nurse had us laughing and relaxed. At the points I could not bare to be present for every single staff member approached me to ensure I was ok. Surgicalaassessment unit. They have an amazing staff nurse who had probably the hardest job ever looking after my son he was extremely scared and in a lot of pain. This ward I cannot thank enough they allowed me to sit on the ward all day even the 4 hours of surgery. Constant flow of coffee and always asking if I wanted food. My son is 21 years old and never once was I made to feel I shouldn't be there on fact I was involved in all his consultations and given all information I need. The 15 hour shifts these people work are crazy but I never once saw anyone show their tiredness. Thank you XX
"can't praise you enough"
