I had a dreadful experience with the service. I'm not going to list all of the reasons why my experience was bad because this post will just end up being long. The worst thing that happened while I was under CAMHS was that I disclosed to my therapist that I was sexually assaulted. Their response was that they weren't quite sure if that did happen and how I didn't look traumatised. They even described the assault as incredible which to me is rather offensive. I made a suicide attempt and I felt they tried to cover their back and blame it on the fact that we were ending. I find it incredibly worrying there are qualified therapists like that in the world.
