After 5 days of severe tonsillitis I had got to the point where I couldn't swallow even a small amount of water.

I took a trip to A&E to get checked over and was initially greeted by friendly reception staff that booked me in. After a short wait I was triaged by a lovely nurse who undertook a through examination and really listened to me and could tell how uncomfortable I was. She quickly got me to see a doctor and I was cannulated, bloods taken and offered pain relief. Within 2 hours I was transferred to Medway Hospital to see a ENT specialist https://www.patientopinion.org.uk/opinions/149740.

Well done to all the team, the waiting room was busy but the whole team were efficient, kind and compassionate and really put me at ease even thought they were really busy.

I couldn't have asked for better care even though I was only there for a short space of time. Fantastic service. I can really see why Darent Valley has such a fantastic reputation.
