"Terrible care "

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Surgery (wards 19, 20, 24, 26 &29)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain and couldn't eat or drink without throwing up on the first day. I had to wait 7 hours so a cannula could be fitted in my arm as the first one wasn't put in right by a and e then a further 2 hours waiting on a bag of fluids to be prescribed so I was left for 9 hours dehydrated.

I had a stay of 4 days and still not any better my consultant promised me a ultrasound scan and on the Monday morning I was told my blood tests were fine so I was to go home even though I still could not eat or drink without vomiting and was in hell of a lot of pain. I felt the care was a shambles and I don't think I saw one nurse who cracked a smile. terrible care. I will definetly go to the southern general next time if something happens.
