What I liked
The nurses who were good, were very very good. My doctor was a good person with a lovely bedside manner, who tried to get to the crux of my illness.
What could be improved
The standard of care that I saw being given to oher patients was abhorrant. I heard elderly people told to soil thier bed as help was not available. I saw a severly hearing impaired patient treated callously because she did not understand the nurses requests. Many other instances occured during my three month stay as inpatient.
Anything else?
I will not allow myself or my immediate family to become a patient at this hospital unless there is absolutely no other choice. The critical care and medical care is excellent but the day to day dignity and personal care leaves much to be desired.
