"I was disappointed that it took a whole week to be phoned"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I was disappointed that it took a whole week after my GP appointment before I was phoned for a physio appointment. Even worse, the physio was for 4 weeks later!

I was relieved when I was phoned with a cancellation appointment only one week later.

PS: Why use expensive glossy paper and thick envelopes for a questionnaire? Please use the money for more physios – that’s what the questionnaire will tell you!

Thank you for your comments.

TRAQS relies upon the GP referring the patient to process the request promptly and this can take a few days depending upon the practice the patient is registered with. TRAQS processes all urgent referrals within 1 working day and routine referrals within 5 working days.

We have no control over the waiting time for appointments with the provider but as you state that the waiting time was 4 weeks your referral was a routine referral,

with regard to your comment relating to the quality of the paper and envelopes. Our printers are unable to use a lower grade paper as the ink will 'bleed' into the paper and the images will not be clear. The envelopes are ordered by a seperate department and unfortunately the quality ordered is outside TRAQS control

Thank you again for sharing your comment with us.
