"Why must my daughter have more blood tests?"

About: Queen's Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Daughter has had three blood tests in last week. Each time we went for results, we were told that the test was unusable. Why?

She is now too scared to go again. What is going on at queens? These tests were very important as she has anaemia.

Thank you for commenting on NHS Choices. I am sorry that you were told that the results of the blood test were unusable, three times and that no explanation was given – this is not right. I am sorry that your daughter now feels scared to come for a test, it is not acceptable that she has been left feeling like this. I would like to investigate and in order to do so need more details.
