"Monday 7th April 2014 receptionist in sexual..."

I found her to be rude and sharp so early in the morning She should leave her own problems at the door I was shacking when giving her my form she watched Until I dropped it saying sorry she rolled her eyes Then took my form to the back office laughed with Colleagues. If she showed as much efforts to speak with Members of the public and not about the repairs Needed in her house or her headache. The fact is She works with a very delicate area of health An should show more of a friendly approach less jokes With colleagues an more customer focused. A lady arrived late she then said loudly half an hour late With attitude laughing she is the kind of person who Makes people get angry.

Response from St Ann's Hospital

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are extremely sorry that your experience of the Sexual Health Service fell short of the standard we would expect for our patients. As a Trust we place great value in treating the individuals in our care in a non-judgmental way and with respect and dignity. I am very sorry that on this occasion you feel this standard was not met. The service manager did meet with the staff on Wednesday 09/04/14 to explain how service users can be ill at ease walking into a sexual health service and we all need to be aware of this when working in the reception area. We would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your experience. The service understands that this is of a sensitive nature, it may be more comfortable for you to speak to someone on the phone so that you feel your confidentiality is protected. If you would like to do this please contact Sue Meakin, Sexual Health Manager - 01202 646917 service mobile 07795318819 or via sue.meakin@dhuft.nhs.uk.
