"The midwife was very helpful and ..."

About: Northwick Park Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The midwife was very helpful and reassuring.

What could be improved

I had come in due to a potentially serious concern about the my pregnancy. The receptionist on maternity that day should have shown more empathy to me as a patient but instead she was rude and had a negative attitude which upset myself and my husband further.

Anything else?

The initial impression given by the receptionist is not a good image for the hospital. The midwife provided excellent care and support and therefore a positive public face for the hospital.
