"Judging doctors and some nurses"

About: Royal United Hospital

Our baby came in with 2 tiny bruises, we understood the protocol, but before any results or conversations with the relevant consultants, we were already being judged as parents. The doctors and some nurses made us feel so bad and awkward but we hadn't done anything wrong to deserve being treated the way we were. We shed many tears and there was no comfort from the nurses. Baby stayed in overnight but the following morning a new nurse was assigned to us. She was amazing. She explained everything to the best she could and she put us at ease even though we still didnt know what was happening. Nurses need to be more like her. Panicked parents need support too through such a traumatic ordeal.
