I recently underwent routine ENT surgery. From the moment I arrived at theTheatre assessme t unit to ths moment I left I was extremely happy with my care. I was shown promptly to a single room with TV on admission (though lucky as only 1) and the whole process was very slick....gown, paper knickers and nameband all ready for you, put your property in a box, see the consultant anaesthetist and surgeons, measured and fitted with anti embolism stockings and off you go. Following the operation I went back to TAU and managed to leave around 6pm when the immediate post op complications were over. I was discharged with plenty of writtem and verbal advice, painkillers and treatments and even a sick note for work. I was told a follow up appointment would be in the post and this arrived a few days later. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the unit, the kindness amd competence of the theatre staff, medical staff and nurses( of which the same one cared for me from 0700-1800 when I left) Thank you so very much.
