"They saved my partners life"

About: Torbay Hospital

My partner was admitted by ambulance on the evening of Thursday 27th March having been diagnosed by his fantastic GP of the Parkhill Medical Centre in Torquay with a suspected heart attack. This turned out to be the case and I can honestly say that he would not be here with me today but for the fantastic actions and treatment he received. He was admitted to the Cardiac Care Unit and from that moment on he received faultless care. This was the NHS at its very finest and Torbay Hospital and the Cardiac Care Unit should receive every award possible for what they did. These people; and I include in this everyone; from the doctors, nurses, cleaners, porters, people who bring around the tea etc are nothing short of Gods. My partner was fitted with two stents and now his heart is working better than it has for years. I have promised myself and stated to others that I will argue to my last breath with anyone who I ever hear attacking the NHS here in Torbay. We should all be on our knees every evening thanking God that we have the sort of care provided for us in Torbay that in any other part of the worls would cost unimaginable amounts of money
