I have some private health insurance but when I got an illness went through my GP for a specialist NHS referral. Time taken from booking to the initial meeting with the consultant was 9 days. I also contacted BMI healthcare thinking they might be able to do things quicker and the earliest appointment they could offer me was 6 weeks later. I definately think its 1-O to the NHS so far
