"These issues were not meant to happen again"

After putting in a formal complaint to Aintree about the appalling standards of care, the disgraceful attitudes of some nurses and bad practices, I received a lengthy apology telling me how things should not have happened and how systems were put in place to prevent it all happening again. Rubbish!

I had the visited friend on Ward 15 ( a part of my original complaint) and was horrified to find that nothing had changed despite all of the sickening self congratulatory notices in the corridors of the hospital!

My friend had no balance yet was on the edge of the bed without the cot sides up.

My friend was unable to take their own medication yet medication had been left on their bedside table

My friend was unable to dress themselves and had been left struggling to put their pyjamas on.

My friend had MRSA yet at 7pm their dirty nightclothes from the morning was left on their bed with their toothbrush lying next to it

My friend had no mobility and was seriously ill yet the emergency call button had been left out of their reach!

All of these issues plus more formed part of my original complaint to the hospital. All of these issues were not meant to happen again.

I have been advised to submit another complaint to the hospital but what is the point when they obviously only pay lip service. I have zero confidence in this hospital and I have zero confidence in their complaints procedure!
