"Depression and the GP"

About: NHS Lothian

(as a carer),

My partner has had depression for over 10 years. Never has he felt that the NHS have really been able to help him to recover from this until he found his latest GP Dr Grandison at Riverside Medical Practice.

Dr G helped us through a very difficult period, my partner had begun self harming again due to work related stress and I felt out of my depth trying to care for him. Dr G not only listened to my partner and gave him the help he needed but he also boosted my ability to care for my partner.

Dr G is leaving the Riverside surgery and I must admit both my partner and I have joked that we may have to move to be able to stay under the care of the best GP around, we will miss him dearly.
