I visited the hand clinic after a thumb crush injury in June 2012. The team were superb. They surgeons and nurses dealt with my issues with dignity and respect and listened to my concerns empathically. My operation was discussed in detail. As I was anxious of the procedure a lovely nurse chatted to me throughout to ease my anxieties. The team did an excellent returning my thumb to as normal function (as was possible under the circumstances) and made it look more aesthetically pleasing. A great service from the surgeon and his marvellous team

Regarding the delay in being seen, I am sorry that on this occasion this was not dealt with quickly and of the high standard we would expect at our Trust.
