"A & E Sunday 30/3/14"

About: Sandwell General Hospital

I was having difficulty passing water and rang 111 who advised me to go to Sandwell A & E I arrived with my wife at 5am. and checked in. Within 15 minutes I was seen by the review nurse and 10 minutes later she took us through to a room and put me on a trolley. I had an ecg and blood taken. A male nurse came to see us and asked a few questions about my situation. He was very pleasant and excellent at his job. I had to have a catheter fitted to drain the excess fluid. Not pleasant but done quickly without fuss or pain. I was then seen by a doctor who said I was borderline whether to be kept in or let out depending on blood results. I was allowed to go home about 10.30am
