On Tuesday morning I had some blood tests at my local surgery as I was worried about some symptoms. At 9.30 p.m. on the same day, I received a phone call from the Ispwich out-of-hours doctors service. "I understand you had a blood test today - I'm just ringing to ask if you are feeling OK as your blood sugar levels seem rather low. Are you on diabetic medication? (No) Fine. I suggest you go to your surgery in the morning and just have a finger-prick test to make sure everything is all right. I'll let them know what's happened."
Now that's what I call good service!! Finger-prick test done. All OK. I am amazed that anyone in their right mind could say that the UK has a "third world health service".
"Wonderful service"
