"Queen'sHospital Romford - it can be difficult to diagnose meningitis in children"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

(as the patient),

i took my daughter to queens hospital Romford where the doctors misdiagnoised her with a suspected water infection. In fact she had pneumococal meningitis. i suggested meningitis to the doctor at queens and he dismised it saying that he thought it was a urine infection. She had a temperature and blotchy skin, sickness, discomfort screams, and stiff neck. I dont think they examined my daughter enough before coming to a decision. She also was screaming the time we was there which i told them was out of character and i was told that this was because she was in pain from the urine infection. When they checked her at king georges hospital the next day she didnt even have an infection. I think Queen's should never of sent her home untill they knew what was wrong with her.
