What could be improved
My daughter had to wait over 3.5 hours to see a doctor in the A&E department.
There were only 5 patients in the childs A&E at the time and so were not busy.
There was no communication as to the waiting time. There was nobody available to give us information when asked.
This is too long for children to wait in any circumstance never mind when needing to be seen by a doctor or nurse.
I would suggest a beeter way to regularly feedback to any waiting person as the the expected waiting time. I appreciate that as urgent cases appear that waiting time changes, but a simple way of communicating, whether by person, or by other means would be helpful.
Every person in that waiting room last night was disgusted by not only the wait, but also by the lack of care shown to distressed children.
