"AMAU staff very unfriendly and miserable no..."

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

My 51 year old brother was admitted to resus on 22 march having 5 days earlier diagnosed with bone/gullett cancer, he was admitted due to fitting, he had detailed head scan which revealed cancer had spread to the brain, he did receive wonderful kindness and care in resus, however when moved to amau, there the nurses seems cold, and when we explained that he is very confused due to cancer as he was trying to climb out of bed, we were told that ' he will receive the same care as the other 3 poorly people' we didnt say he wouldnt just very concerned they realised his state of mind. when my sister visited the next day (as he was terminal we were told we cld visit) he has faeces, all up his back, he smelt, his catheta has faeces upto his penis we were disgusted, we washed him, also the next day his soap and flannel/sponge were dry he hadnt been washed, assisted to shave his brain cancer has made him very confused and his motor signs were affected. we phoned each morning to see what a night he had, and were assurred he had a comfortable night, on saturday 29th he was transferred to avon as he had contracted crypto speridum in your hospital, we spoke and explained cliffords condition and the staff nurse said she was concerned that he was sent there to a side room when he was clearly confused and in his notes had said that the previous night hes was wandering around, now we were told he had a comfortable night, this is totally not acceptable. he is vulnerable, has terminal cancer has weeks to live, luckily for him avon 3 seem 100% more committed to patient care, popping in every time they passed his room, and assurred us they would continue to do that as clifford has that terrible bug together with his confiusion a disaster waiting to happen, we were there for 4 hours yesterday and we changed the bed 5 times due to clifford not getting to the toilet on time. AMAU made us feel like we were asking for world when merely asking them to please take care of our brother who has confution to the terminal brain cancer. we visit every day for the full time we are allowed. For head of housekeeping: when we visited the public toilet in foyer on entrance, when clsing the door the skirting board was thick with black old dust, I dread to think what the rest of the hospital is like your head of cleaning services need to ask themselves why the nuro virus has lasted so long at the hospital, utterly disgraceful. where has the standards gone.
