"Good care, but one bad experience during my stay in leigh ward "

I recently had a stay in Leigh ward at East Surrey hospital. I must first say that there was two nurses, staff nurse louise and health care assistant loiuse, who treated everybody with respect and dignity. They both had time for everyone and was always there to help.

However, there was an incident where I was put on a bed pan and I rang my assistant bell for at least 30 mins. Nobody came and I got very distressed. It was visiting time, and the visitor from the bed next to me said 'hold on I'll get some one', and she came back and said they were coming. Still 10 mins later nobody came and again she left to get someone. When someone did come, they didn't even say sorry, they just took the bed pan and left. I felt so humiliated. I thought that if both Louises had been on, this would not have happened. Thank god I was moved to another ward shortly after.
