"dissapointing stroke care"

I was taken from my home by ambulance to A&E at the Royal one Sunday morning in Sept, I was very confused and did not know what wrong with me . The ambulance crew and paramedic were superb When I arrived at A&E there was a queue to admit people from ambulances. I was eventually taken through and left on a trolley, outside the cubicles where I seemed to be for ages, I kept drifting off to sleep and lost track of time . I was eventually taken into a cubicle. I remember being seen by a stroke nurse . Then I was seen by a doctor who decided I was well enough to go home. I have to say I was less confused after sleeping though my speech was hesitant . They made an appointment for me for the next day at the stroke clinic . I got home about tea time . Next day at stroke clinic, the doctor said I should have been admitted the day before and admitted me straightaway .I had speech dysphasia which was getting worse. the day after that I had a scan and found to have had a stroke which was apparently due toa blood clot and that I also had had another previously. My care since has been very good Mrs W Thornton My care from then on has been ver good
