I have had to attend the Thursday Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic regularly over the last year or so. The staff are all generally kind, considerate and professional.
However I would agree with previous comments (dated 2005 so no improvement) that waiting times are unacceptable, presumably due to poor management. My shortest time spent in clinic has been 1.5 hours, 2 hours is typical and on occasion I have been there 3 hours (no more than 20 mins is normally spent with staff).
Most people in this clinic are in significant discomfort and sitting around for long periods of time is extremely unpleasant. Surely something can be done to improve this?
