Thank you, Kim, for taking the time to post your feedback about your experience of Corbett Outpatient Centre. The staff who cared for you will be very pleased to see your positive comments. We have one ward in the day case unit and so there are times when male and female patients are on the ward at the same time. Our Privacy and Dignity Policy requires us to have single sex accommodation in all patient areas with some exceptions which includes day case and assessment units, critical care and high dependency units. In areas where single sex accommodation is exempt, our staff try to group all males together and all females together depending on their clinical need, using portable screens and curtains to promote privacy. I have passed your feedback onto the lead nurse in Corbett day case who will look at modifying appointment letters to make it clearer to patients of the possibility of being on the ward with a member of the opposite sex.
