"After being rushed to A & ..."

About: Scarborough General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

After being rushed to A & E with a suspected miscarriage I was left over night to be examined, the next day was sent home. That afternoon was re admitted, it was only the next morning that I was scanned to have the miscarriage confirmed. I was left after being told my devastating news in a roo of expectant mother whilst the midwife became free. Then had to walk down to path lab for blood test and then to out patients as they had the wrong details.

What could be improved

More compassion of patients feeling in devastating times. Family room to wait in. Ultra sound available 24/7. Better trained staff in miscarriage . Better filing system of patients notes and details.

Anything else?

Better communication between A

&E and other wards.
