"Staff were friendly and attentive ..."

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

(as the patient),

What I liked

Staff were friendly and attentive - in both A&E which was very busy, and also on the ward. They took time to make sure I was comfortable as I was in pain and also were respectful and hard working. Very different (and better) from where I had been transferred from.

What could be improved

The toilets could do with more cleaning. The wards were very busy but it was still ok. I would have preferred if the Dr's involved in decisions about my care had taken more time to explain and discuss with me.

Anything else?

The nurses on the ENT ward in particular were very good - they worked hard to make sure patients were not uncomfortable and administered my drugs carefully at all times of the day/night to minimise disruption. One nurse in particular was very helpful in helping my girlfriend find her way home and clearly cared a lot for the patients.
